Has anyone ever killed or heard of anyone killing a banded " *******, grinner, smilen mallard, also known as a shoveler" ??? :interesting: Or does the USFWS consider them not worth the effort?? :no: :bs: I've been seeing a ton of the NASTY, little critters lately!!

All types of birds are banded, even shovelers.

Reggie saw 1 banded shoveler, Fall 1998. He didn't shoot the bird, but it was killed on an adjacent field. Near Fisher, AR.

Actually they eat small swimming crustaceans and aquatic vegetation, not fish.

Don't feel bad, when I used to murder the ducks I hardly ever killed a band, now that my hunting is limited I see more bands fall. GO Figure
