Does anyone know what this area is? And also if it is a legitimate hunting location? Going by all the time for work I see trucks and cars parked at what looks like an entrance to it but ive never known if it was private or public.

Seriously, I don't know. I thought Jacksonville was just annexed and you could no longer hunt in the he city.

If I'm not mistaken the city limits go all the way thru those fields south of bayou meto . Dupree used to own it but I think the city owns it now , that's where jacksonville was offering the land to build a new state fairgrounds.
I used to deer hunt in there many years back , but I'm sure I wasn't supposed to!
