OK so here is a question for y'all...
The above letter cites Arkansas Code 21-1-904, which basically says that State employees will not assist the feds in enforcing new gun control laws (that are not illegal in AR)... yada yada yada,,,
In a few months, you could be at the range testing your AR Pistol when the guy at the next bench approaches...
So does this also apply to local town cops, or any police that don't work directly for the state? Are they defined as "public officers"?
What about the common practice of dual deputizing... where the feds deputize a local, so he also has fed powers... is he now weaponized so that state law doesn't apply to him?
Another what if... With Joint Ops being common, what if they use the local guy to do tasks A, B & C while the fed takes care of task D (enforcing the new gun law).
I would love to see that bill (4986) pass... and get signed, but I'm skeptical that it will never get past 1st base...
Chevron deference, or Chevron doctrine, is an administrative law principle that compels federal courts to defer to a federal agency's interpretation of an ambiguous or unclear statute that Congress delegated to the agency to administer. The principle derives its name from the 1984 U.S. Supreme Courtcase Chevron U.S.A., Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc.[1]
An Everytown for Gun Safety director admitted during Thursday's House Judiciary Committee hearing that Everytown asked the ATF for a rule on pistol stabilizer braces.
That’s the same group (Everytown) that has pushed for testimony from those affected by wacko shooters. That’s how Marxist Gov run their committee meetings, they count on the feelings of weak minded people to side with them.
It doesn’t matter how many signed in and voted.
here is the tally (pitiful to say the least, should have been 100,000)
“28 people signed in (to testify) PRO. ** 20.3% support the bill
110 people signed in (to testify) CON. ** 79.7% oppose the bill
1,765 people signed in (not wanting to testify) PRO. ** 20.4% support the bill
6,876 people signed in (not wanting to testify) CON. ** 79.6% oppose the bill”
