Anybody know if mt. Curs make good bay dogs?

I know some that have used them successfully. I have a squirrel/**** dog Mt Cur and I think he would be a little too gritty for hogs - he would want to get in there and fight them. I am sure it depends on the individual dog and how they Have been brought up. Mine has been encouraged to kill a **** or possum.

They will make bay dogs but most of em aren’t gritty enuf to keep a hog bayed.

Catahoulas are better suited for bay dogs...and a pit as the catch dog

Black mouth cur also probably better for hog bay dog than Mt Cur

I got some that are pretty good at it. Then one got cut yesterday.
