I’ve been following some of the underground bait makers for several years. I have a few $40-50 lures but that’s about as much as I’d pay for a lure but there are a few out there I’d love to own but they are going for crazy money so I decided to start playing around with building my own. Here are my first attempts in progress.

Yea I started off trying to make a Shad glide but was looking more like a carp and I figured a glide bait was probably a little ambitious for my first bait. I thought a wakebait might be easier to get to swim right. I hope to eventually get to where I can make molds and reproduce them if I want to. It’s been fun to mess with.

I just started pouring/making bass jigs. Nothing special. I got tired of paying $5+ for a jig and the style I like is sometimes hard to find.

I pour my own plastics. Made my own silicone molds from a hand carved oak master.

I airbrush bass lures as a hobby, haven't figured out how to sell them, mostly give them away to friends and family.
