Cell Phone pix of bear hit by Semi Truck today 5/20
.9 mile east of Fourche Junct. The Corps of Engineers helped load the bear, with a tractor, into the Perry Co Wardens truck. Looks like a twin to the one hit by a car.
There are a ton of bears in that area...I have trail cams and sightings to prove it...was riding my 4 wheeler last Tuesday and seen a momma and two cubs on link mountain...and about hit another one south of Williams Junction towards Paron...and that has been in the last two weeks.
When is a bear's breeding cycle? Just curious if it's like deer when the rut is happening, they just appear everywhere.
It could also be a simple fact that they are scrambling to find food before the summer. Usually it's late summer before the acorns fall that they do so much roaming, trying to find food.

Back in 2006,a bear was hit crossing 60 near Carden Point Rec Area, 3-4 miles down the road.
Were any bears killed during Bear season 2007, in this area??
I did not hear of any my self.
