Why have been keeping him home?

This time of year the coyotes aint as aggresive. A mature coyote will work the dog year round but younger coyotes will just hide. My goal is to kill as many as possible. To do that I have to leave her home right now.

What is a normal reaction from a yote when it sees the dog?

The coyote usually engage in back and forth chasing with the dog. They get so wrapped up they ignore the hunter. Ive had them in my lap on more than one occasion. Ive had them down wind and know Im there and they just dont care. Its a great way to hunt coyotes.
