I have yet to fish with one, but I know a guy that has been doing really good with one. He said you have to avoid the structure but he has caught some good fish in the past two weeks. It looks like the perfect idea it would mimick a school of bait fish pretty well I would think.

what do you want to know about them? you can buy them for a little as $8 or as much as $40. You can make them for about $2 a piece. They are awkard to throw but do catch fish. You can customize them how ever you want.
I haven't actually seen one in person. What is the best material to make them out of and how, place to buy, Swimbaits, Grubs, Open water, water conditions etc. I also read where the AGFC is studying the Alabama rig to decide it to be legal or not. I heard one person compare the Alabama rig to fishing as the Spinning wing to duck hunting?

I know several folks that have been fishing them this winter and catching fish with them, but they all say you better be in shape, as they'll wear you out. The guys my age that tried'em put'em down and allowed they were for the young guys, not us old farts, said they weren't hoss enough to fish'em.

there was an article in the newspaper about it arkansas has no plans of banning it. in the long run its gonna be a bust more then anything IMO
Sounds like its a good way to sell alot of lures and maybe more trouble than its worth?

Per AGFC:
Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Hi Scott, AGFC fisheries staff has been assigned the task to look into the efficiency and effectiveness of the rig. Their findings will be brought to the commission for review in April.
