Beargrease podcast. Basically that hurricane has lost 42% of their red oaks and BM is well down the same path. They are cleaning up the drainages and not holding water. They are letting it flood and drain naturally. And that is the only way to get the timber back to a healthy state

It’ll work for hurricane with the little red and white as the drainages.

Unfortunately it will not work for bayou meto as the drainage is not adequately maintained.
they discussed that to an extent in the podcast. Basically what they said (without trying to throw anyone under the bus) was that they had to make some tough decisions and get to doing them before our GTR's were in a condition that was irreversable. They mentioned a rain event that happened in 20 or 21 where 19" of rain fell in 36 hours. They said that it took them 6 weeks to get the water off BM
