Our politicians plan to give away more billions as outright gifts. What will this do the value of the dollar? Duh! Ron Paul is the only politician who understands economics and the consequences of this and some of the below proposals. He can't win? Then we don't deserve better than we've been getting. Go back to sleep, and keep voting for the "lesser of two evils", which result is still "evil".

The next time you hear a politician use the
Word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about
Whether you want the 'politicians' spending
    YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
But one advertising agency did a good job of
Putting that figure into some perspective in
    One of its releases.

    A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

    B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

    C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were
    Living in the Stone Age.

    D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

    E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and
20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division

Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans . Interesting number, what does it mean?

    A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of
New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you
    Each get $516,528.

    B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.

    C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family
    Gets $2,066,012.

Washington , D.C . HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken??

    A Poem
    Tax his land,
    Tax his wage,
Tax his bed in which he lays.
    Tax his tractor,
    Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.
    Tax his cow,
    Tax his goat,
    Tax his pants,
    Tax his coat.
    Tax his ties,
    Tax his shirts,
    Tax his work,
    Tax his dirt.
    Tax his tobacco,
    Tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
    Tax his booze,
    Tax his beers,
    If he cries,
    Tax his tears.
    Tax his bills,
    Tax his gas,
    Tax his notes,
    Tax his cash.
Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.
    If he hollers,
    Tax him more,
Tax hi m until he's good and sore..
    Tax his coffin,
    Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.
Put these words upon his tomb,
'Taxes drove me to my doom!'
    And when he's gone,
    We won't relax,
We'll still be after the inheritance TAX!!

waterways user fees tax/diesel tax for ewaller
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago,
And our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What happened? Can you spell 'politicians!'

And I still have to 'press
    1' for English.

I hope this goes around THE
USA at least 100 times

I have one for your list, Marine companies have to pay a waterways user fees/taxes that are collected by adding more tax on diesel fuel
It looks like we have past the point of turning anything around and things will continue to go downhill faster and faster. I worry about the future of this country for my children and grand children. It doesn't look very good.

so sad, but very true. it makes me so mad to think that the first four or five months out of the year is just to pay taxes, then i'm taxed to buy ANYTHING, then i'm taxed at the end of the year for the pleasure of owning the things i already paid tax on. after all that, i get to pay the state of arkansas for unemployement taxes (that i'm not eligable to recieve) for the privaledge of writing MYSELF a salary check. when will it stop?? what can we even do to fight this crap?? something is very wrong with the system of this country that the harder you work and try to make something, the more you are gouged and taxed. if you have a good year and get bumped up into the next tax bracket, the goverment will take most of it and making it not worthwhile to even try to make more money:mad:

Reminds me of one of our church members. He was working for a flying service over this way. He worked a lot of overtime (he need the money), but had to stop after 65 hours in a week. Beyond that, his taxes bumped up and from 65-70 hours, his check after taxes was lower than at 65 hours... Someone please tell my why that is. Don't give me the "tax table" crud. It is greedy government out of control. You work HARD, and get penalized. Don't work at all and get a free ride.

Ron Paul, while I don't agree with every part of his platform, is the only man from any political party that truly believes in and LOVES the US Constitution... you know that inconvenient document that is primarily in existence to LIMIT the scope and power of the Federal Government...

The Federal Government has ZERO constitutional authority to take money from one group to give away to another - whether it is for welfare, unemployement, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, FEMA/Disaster Relief, or any other social program. While the US has pretty much become dependent on such programs - wouldn't we be better off just having the money and deciding how to spend it ourselves? It would be more money people would have to donate to organizations much better in a position to actually help. It would be more money to spend (thus creating jobs - thus employing more people), and would free up our own resources to buy private health coverage.

But we have passed the point of no-return, I am afraid. Our country depends on government handouts...

Our forefathers formed a new republic when they set in place the law of our land.

But I'm not sure how to respond to your post (trying to figure your jest), much like the other 40 or 50 thousand posts you have...

Don't forget the Constitution Party, they still do exist. I will be voting for their candidate this November.

The day of reckoning for our nation just may be closer at hand than most want to believe.
