These will be the will be the last for a while.
Went out the other day and had a beaver(#)7, and a big turtle I think it was a logger head. Everytime I tried to free him from the trap it snapped at me. I let it live and threw it back in the pond.

Turtle Snapping at me.

Checked the traps today 3/20, and had a beaver#8 and a another turlte. I let the turtle go again, they seemed unharmed. I pulled the traps in to give the beavers a break, I really hope I got them all for now but i doubt it.

Beaver #8

TimberTalker thanks again, you helped and taught me a lot, this is something I might try to get into. Maybe we can chase some turkeys up here when season rolls around. Theres not a bunch of turkeys but I got access to land that no one hunts them on.

Glad I could help you out Bowman! The turtles can cause a real problem in conibears once it starts warming up. Its best to use only footholds and snares to reduce non target catches this time of year. Glad they are out of there now and you can get to your deerstand without having to take a boat or wear waders. :thumb:
