Well, after shooting many different guns, I found one that fits me like a glove.....The Taurus Millenium Pro PT145. I had decided to get a Glock but i just don't like the feel of them. I spoke with the guys at Don's and they said the PT145 was a very reliable and they have had vero problems out of them. The second generation PTs had a problem with the clip falling out but the newer ones have that fixed.
Anyway, Don's had them for $399 but Academy had them for $299!!!! I would have paid twice as much. These guns have the best grip i have found for a double stack mag. It is not a bulky grip...They are 10+1, lifetime warranty, great safety features(thumb safety and key lock), small and easy to conceal, and can be broken down in seconds.
I know some don't like Taurus but this gun is a winner. the only downside is the cost of .45 ammo:smack:. I put 150 rounds through it yesterday at $17/50 box. Then tack on the $13 range fee. Thats $64 for one day of shooting
If i still like this gun as much as i think i am going to, I am getting a taurus 24/7 9mm or the PT111 9mm. That will save me a little dough at the range. I am not a cheapo but can't spend $64 everytime I go to the range. here is a link.

I have an older PT100 and love it! It's a little bigger than I would like but I haven't had a problem out of it at all! That is a fine looking gun backstraps!
