Well, after shooting many different guns, I found one that fits me like a glove.....The Taurus Millenium Pro PT145. I had decided to get a Glock but i just don't like the feel of them. I spoke with the guys at Don's and they said the PT145 was a very reliable and they have had vero problems out of them. The second generation PTs had a problem with the clip falling out but the newer ones have that fixed.

Anyway, Don's had them for $399 but Academy had them for $299!!!! I would have paid twice as much. These guns have the best grip i have found for a double stack mag. It is not a bulky grip...They are 10+1, lifetime warranty:eek:, great safety features(thumb safety and key lock), small and easy to conceal, and can be broken down in seconds.

I know some don't like Taurus but this gun is a winner. the only downside is the cost of .45 ammo:smack:. I put 150 rounds through it yesterday at $17/50 box. Then tack on the $13 range fee. Thats $64 for one day of shooting:eek:

If i still like this gun as much as i think i am going to, I am getting a taurus 24/7 9mm or the PT111 9mm. That will save me a little dough at the range. I am not a cheapo but can't spend $64 everytime I go to the range. here is a link.

I have an older PT100 and love it! It's a little bigger than I would like but I haven't had a problem out of it at all! That is a fine looking gun backstraps!
I abso;utely Love Mine!! It is the same model...Millenium Pro PT145....it shoots like a dream, is very accurate(close range) for a 3.3 inch barrel, and I have had absolutely Zero problems with it!!!!!!

As you said, the only draw back is the cost of 45 auto ammo.....but tell me something that is not exspensive nw days!!

It is a sweet shooter! Have you felt a more comfortable grip on a double stack mag. Taurus hit a homer on design IMO.

Yes...but it was a High $$$$ Custom gun  I think they did a good job on this one!!
That's a fine gun. I love it. I have a Taurus .38 and have no complaints with it. I love it.
Dang, the more I shoot this thing the more I love it! I have been using cheap Monarchs and have yet to have a hiccup with 500 rounds through it already. I am so impressed, I am now looking at the Taurus line for a larger 9mm. maybe the 24/7 Pro or 24/7 Pro OSS.

But then again I really want a good looking PT1911, .357 Ultra Lite, judge, Beretta P345(I think), Sig P220....You get the point.
