I got a Tikka early this year and I am just now getting a chance to load some rounds for it. Does any use 140 gr gamekings?? I like there performance
in my 3006. I was wondering about how they are in this caliber. I also got a 300 win and will try some 165gr gamekings in it as well.:biggrin:

My little 7MM-08 Rem BDL loves the 145gr Speer Hot-Cor and the 154gr Hornady I-lock. When it comes to the Sierra line of bullets I pretty much tend to stick to the "Pro-Hunter" line of bullets. I prefer a flat base bullet over the boat-tail and the Pro Hunter series from Sierra are some of the best.

I even prefer the Pro Hunter series Sierra over the Gameking in .30 cal also. I just prefer a flat base bullet.

I always shot 140 Ballistic Tips in mine, and I used it for mule deer hunting. I never had a deer go more than 40 yards after a shot. I got great accuracy for a single shot 3/4" at 100 yards.

Dirtdart- I was wondering why you like the flat base bullets so much. I am still
new to reloading and wondering why.

Nope, I have a Remington Model 7 ( shooting it since 1993 ) and I shoot Hornady Light mag with the SST bullet.... Great round and super bullet.
