Powder valley has the Remington 87 gr jhp for 9.99 a 100 would be a good coyote bullet. I bought 300 to try in my new 25/06 as soon as its gets in. My Tikka I use RL19 and the new TC venture 25/06 I am going to load imr 4350..
I have loaded the 25-06 for many years. I usually dont drop below 100gr on it. The heavier bullets have a higher BC for longer shots, but I think they would be fine. IMR4350 has always been my powder of choice for the little 06. I do have a couple of pounds of RL19 and was gonna try to work up a load for mine this spring. I fear the RL19 will be somewhat temperature sensitive though.
That is the only powder I use in my 25/06 tikka. I have used the 85 gr bt on deer a lot. I let my wife have the tikka and ordered me a TC venture 25/06. I am loading Speer 100 gr hot cor for her and a 117 gr SST for me. I am taking both over to Mr Tony and have muzzle brakes put on. I have young boys growing up and they will each have a 25/06 of there own. If u like the imr 4350 better than RL 19 I have a few cans of imr 4350 under my table or I know where some h4350 or A4350 I can get to trade. .
U r right the load up work up in the winter may not work in the summer. Happen to me the winter the groups was great summer come around the groups opened up dropped a gr and got better groups than before.
