This contest is open to any and all registered Members but please don't sign up just because you can and not ever come back to the site or not at least try to contribute to your team. If you hunt but don't kill one that's one thing but just to take a spot on a team when you know you don't turkey hunt or probably won't even go isn't fair to the other people on that team. This thread is for signups only! Any questions or discussions need to be done in another thread to avoid clutter and make it easier for us to assign teams. 2017 Turkey Contest Rules 1. The purpose of this contest is to provide content and create interest in the site so in order to enter a bird you must include a picture of the bird and the hunter that harvested it. This means the bird and the hunter together in the same picture. There will be no exceptions to this rule so be prepared! Carry a camera/tripod with you or have your buddy, husband, wife, neighbor, or somebody else take the picture for you. 2. All birds must be legally taken in Arkansas and they must have been taken by the Member that entered the contest. You don’t have to be the one that called the turkey in but you have to be the one that pulled the trigger. 3. Each member will be allowed to enter 2 gobblers and each gobbler will count as 1 point. 4. The team score will be the combined scores of individual team members. 5. All entries must be posted in the official contest entry thread that will be in the Turkey Forum. Entries must include not only the picture, but also the team number, current team score, and new team score. 6. Teams will be divided into random groups from the signup thread in the Turkey Forum. The number per team will be based on how many entries we have. 7. In the case of a tie, the first team that posted their final entry in the contest will be declared the winner. 8. The person on the team with the largest post count will be the Team Captain. It will be up to him/her to check the entries for their team and make sure they are posted correctly. Teams are encouraged to start their own team thread in the turkey forum and use it to talk smack to the other teams, name your team, keep up with kills, entries, etc. 9. Turkey season this year is April 10-25, 2017. We will draw teams by the end of the week preceding opening day and will post the teams as soon as possible after that. If we end up with an odd number on the last team the deadline will be extended until all the teams are filled. 10. The deadline to enter a turkey in the contest will be midnight April 28. Winners will be announced as soon as possible after that. 11. Any problems or conflicts will be decided by the Turkey Contest Committee which is made up of Administrators/Moderators. Their decision will be final. 12. The contest is mostly for fun and the only thing you win other than braggin' rights is to have 2017 Spring Turkey Contest Winner placed under your name.
