Yea I've had a rough year w rods
I know the feelin, i have broke my share.
I had a two for one special going on the other day. I've replaced the spinning rod but waiting on payday to get a new baitcaster.
Most everyone ive ever broke was my fault, usually a result of small meltdowns.
We caught a few today.
Caught several small brownies on the fly this AM in a Northern Ouachita creek.
A couple 4 pounders from last week. Starting to think my wife and myself should have fished the big bass bonanza.
That a basscat?
No sir it's a sprint
Only reason I ask is because I was fishin pine bluff pool Wednesday and some guys in a red and white basscat swamped his boat. Another guy pulled them back to the harbor and I gave one of them a ride to regional to get his truck. Was just gonna ask how things turned out...
Oh wow but no it wasn't me. I was out there Tuesday.
I didn't catch anything but I got to fish the Potomac River yesterday.
Embarrassing story omitted but suffice it to say I really hated to have to put this one back this morning. Lots of fish we couldn't keep. Brought back a king, black snapper and a few ningo snappers. Had a good time.
Had a great time catching bull reds in Venice, La.
Can't wait to go on my first bull red trip this fall
You'll never be the same. Unreal fun, and makes the way a bass pulls seem not so significant.
I'm thinking hard about buying an excel bay pro 203. I sold my ranger a while back and have yet to pull the trigger on another boat. Id love to go down to Louisiana few times a year and fish big lake etc and have my own rig
White bass fishing is still holding up pretty well on Lake Hamilton.
