Where I hunt (SW AR) - a bunch of decoys, no mojo, no high ball or any aggressive calling. And I don't have timber but they are not hitting the brush other than to roost. Open sloughs is where I have been killing what few that are cooperating.

No mojo, never used one. Be careful with decoys, too many and they might not come in, looks like everyone's setup that they've seen all year. They tend to get decoys shy, call shy and blind shy this time of year, esp. if they arent new birds.
As many mojo's as them things see, all the stupid ones are getting killed.

Cloudy day fields sunny day timber has always been my observations. Mojo?? your choice birds are picky some like em some don't but one things is for sure not enough birds to mess even one flight up!

You are probably right about that - especially on flooded fields where the decoys may be left out. But where I hunt on public - I was using anywhere from a dozen to 3 dozen decoys and switched to using close to 100 - and the difference has been VERY noticeable. Not a lot of folks on public taking the time or effort to put out and pick up 100 decoys EVERY morning - especially when you wonder if you are going to even see a limit of ducks. And I am doing that by myself.

No - sorry for the confusion - that is not timber - it is open slough - button brush or open cypress. Don't have any timber.

No Mojo! Ever! If you like to sky bust, a mojo is the ticket! We've killed 750+ mallards on public land this year. No mojos allowed! They ruin duck huntin! Anyone can shoot skeet! Everyone complains how ducks are shy this time of the year, it's because all the tree toppers wont let em work in the woods. Places like BM are getting worse and worse. We've got more ducks then ever yet everyone says its a bad year... Get rid of the mojo, grab a duck call, a jerk string and at least 8-10 dozen decoys and get after it!

Assuming you've hunted everyday including today, 750 ducks so far is an average of 14.2 ducks per hunt. That's a phenomenal season.
