Other than soybeans, what can I plant for the deer this time of year? I planted wheat, clover, and turnips in the fall. Due to the drought, the wheat was the only thing that came up. It is still up and doing well, but I was thinking about planting something for the summer.
I would disk and start anew. Many folks are now going to throw n mow. Broadcast into standing wheat and then bush hog wheat down to provide mulch for your chicory seeds. I have only a little experience do this and have had some success - but not as good as disking and starting from scratch.
