Since my first post, I received phone calls and e-mails from hunters I know that check this forum, and personal mail from forum members, asking me to share information on this board about some of the things I have learned about the subject animals. I will do that.

I am an Arkansan and have been a woods rat for 67 of my 75 years. Before it is too late I want to share some things with other Arkansas Hunters that you should really be aware of. I have testified in a hundred or so cases in federal, state, county, and city courts as a law enforcement officer, state investigator, and expert witness. I have never even been accused of lying under oath. And, my promise to you is, that what you read will be the truth.

But first I would like to pose some questions to all forum members willing to honestly answer them. (As this is YOUR website and YOUR forum, not our group's, you may post ANY kind of response, honest, silly, or demeaning. I won't waste any part of the short time I have left on this old earth to reply to foolishness or silliness.)

1. Have you ever heard - usually at night - a very loud sound "exactly like a woman screaming in great pain or distress", with the sound coming from a remote wooded area not likely to have a woman present?

2. Have you ever heard - usually at night - the sound of a baby crying, with the sound coming from a remote wooded area not likely to have a baby present?

3. In the bottom lands, have you ever heard - usually at night, but sometimes just before dark, the very loud sounds of wood being beaten against wood (usually a tree or log, but sometimes against man-made structures)?

4. In the mountains, have you ever heard - usually at night, but sometimes just before dark, the very loud sounds of rocks being beaten against rocks?

5. Have you heard deep, coarse human-like whistling sounds coming from one or more locations where humans would not likely be?

6. Have you heard the distinct sounds of daytime birds coming from one or more locations near you at night when there was no full moon? (Typically the sound of crows, cardinals, or quail, but sometimes the sounds of domestic hens or roosters from areas where there are no homes or farms)

7. Any extremely loud human-like yelling, shouting, or high-pitched scream sounds that were continued without interruption for a time period that would seem to be out of range of a human's lung capacity?

8. Very early in the morning, or anytime from nightfall to full daylight, have you ever had something follow beside you, out of sight but whose footsteps could be heard, and whatever it was walked when you walked and stopped when you stopped?

9. Day or night while hunting, have you ever had a distinct feeling that someone was watching you, and you began to feel very uneasy or nervous? Was the feeling strong enough that the hair on your arms and/or neck "stood up"?

10. While in the woods have you ever detected a very strong and obnoxious odor that seemed to be a combination of rotten eggs (hydrogen sulfide), a raw sewer, and rotten meat? Was the smell strong enough that your eyes burned and watered, or made you nauseous? (Forget about the simple sulfide smell from the paper mills, that one is relatively mild compared to the real thing. LOL)

11. Have you, or any members of your controlled access hunting club, made a killing shot on a deer that managed to get out of the shooter's sight before it fell and bled out, but when the deer was tracked to the spot it died it was missing with no evidence showing that it had been drug away?

12. While hunting the more inaccessible part of the river bottoms or the mountains have you ever found the bones or other remains of several different kinds of animals or turkeys on the ground near caves or bluff overhangs in the hills or on Indian mounds, swamp islands or in the thickets on high ground in the wetlands bottoms?

13. As a night hunter using dogs, have your dogs ever refused to leave the area of your vehicle when first put out? Have they ever quit hunting and returned to you and acted cowered by something? Did they continue to watch a certain area around you with the hair on their neck raised?

14. Have you had dogs seemingly disappear at night and never be found?

15. Have you found in the woods, the body of any dog that had the top of its head crushed?

16. Have you ever found the freshly killed bodies of deer, hogs, or calves from a nearby ranch that had the rib cage torn open down the front and the heart and liver removed? A fresh kill that had a hind quarter or the head torn off and missing. Were any of the leg bones broken?

17. Has anyone that you trusted for the truth, ever told you of seeing in the woods a very large and muscular, human-like creature covered in reddish brown hair, with long swinging arms, walking upright but slightly stooped? Did you believe him or her?

Thank you for taking the time to read this long post. If your answer to any of these questions was YES, I would like to know when, where, and how long ago. I and others very much need that input for a computerized database. If you don't want to post that info on the forum, PLEASE send me a personal mail. If you had rather talk to me. Send me a phone number and a time I could call.

Regards,
Tal

Thank You for sharing and glad to see you on this side of the issue. Thought you might like to see this report from 3 l.e.o. in 2008:
http://woodape.org/reports/report/detail/485
How many times have witnesses said this same thing?:

The witnesses are in law enforcement and wanted to ensure total anonymity. The primary witness has told a few people about the incident, but he said no one has believed him and so he is now quite reluctant to talk about it. When I first contacted him, he was very reluctant to discuss it because he thought it might be someone mocking him.

I have only seen 2 bobcats on the paw those things are everywhere. 1 spotted skunk those things are rare. If I discided to "go wild" I wouldn't last a month in them woods. If I was born in them woods my bloodline could last eons. I believe if they do exist it's Neanderthal man.
And I believe they do..
I don't know if you've ever heard of Thinker Thunker, but he does analyses of supposed Bigfoot videos. He did this one comparing body ratios of humans and the creature in the Patterson Gimlin film. He makes some good points.

Ex-T: This happened in 1829, details of the event were published in newspapers.
http://www.exploresouthernhistory.com/okefenokeebigfoot.html

https://sasquatchchronicles.com/the-legend-of-sacred-baby-mountain/
Note: This event has been researched and described so many times since it was first reported nearly 200 years ago, the actual date, the guns used, and other details have been clouded by writers. The area in which it reportedly occurred is in what is now known as McCurtain County. The county adjoining McCurtain to the north is LeFlore; it was named after Captain J. Leflore. Many Bigfoot in both countains, and other modern day shootings of the animals have been documented. Those reports can be readily be found on the internet.
Thanks, Tal. We certainly will never know if those stories are true or not. What it does illustrate, however, is that people have been talking about bigfoot-like creatures for a lot longer than the past 50 years.

I've seen this video before. And I have also experienced his dog's reaction.

I have owned and followed some damn good hog dogs. They left a bay that they wouldn't have without cause. The dogs would not return to the last known bay site.

We tried. We didn't understand why our dogs wouldn't go. This was in the Saline river bottoms south of Hwy. 270. After following this thread, I found twisted trees and one "supposed" bedding area.

Call me crazy. I don't care. I know my dogs would not leave a bay/catch without reasons unexplained.

Thanks for sharing Kodiac. At least one hundred hog and 'coon hunters from twelve Southeaster states have told me of experiencing the same thing with their dogs. The Saline River bottoms, have generated a LOT of such cases. You probably know some of them that have had their dogs to leave a bay, and hide under the truck. Only one man that I know had a grown, but young, pit bull that was not afraid of the Boogers. It made the mistake of chasing one after the other dogs ran off. The Booger snookered the dog into chasing him out of range of the hunter. The hunter heard the dog being killed by the Booger beating the it against a tree. Several very similar accounts from Clarke and Monroe Counties in AL and along the Ohio river in western WV.
The Boogers put up with packs of coyotes following them in the hopes of getting the scraps from a kill, but if they screw up an ambush or hunt, the Booger(s) will run down one of the pack and actually skin it alive as a lesson to the rest of the pack. ( I and four others heard that take place in Montgomery County AR about 15 years ago.) Same such events were repeatedly reported to LEO's in Columbia County a few years before that.
You are not crazy. It appears to me you are are a very intelligent, observant and dyed in the wool woodsman who has the guts to share information with other hunters who need to know the facts about this subject. Good job!

Tal i have not heard the story of the LEOs in Columbia county... how could I miss that .. had to be south of Atlanta Arkansas
Could you repost for me
Dan: The info was passed along to me by phone from an AR hunter and a trapper years ago, and about the same time the Beagle hound in Cullman County AL was skinned alive and made news all over the country. I have looked through stacks of my old field notes and found where I posted the info from south Arkansas on our old Alabama Bigfoot web site. From those brief notes it was a deer hunter that first found a coyote that had been skinned alive along a creek that empties into Dorcheat Bayou south of Hwy 82. He showed it to other hunters, then during the season they found another one further east up the same creek. Some one saw and told a game warden about it. Reportedly, it was so unusual that other LEO's looked at the bodies. From my scribbled notes another trapper found one later that year, but it was on the other side of the Bayou in Lafayette County. On the date shown on my notes, I would have been driving back from AL when I got the call. The guy that originally called me was from the Emerson area.

Thanks sorry for the trouble. That would be the Walker creek Gammage area lots of bottoms for dog hunting very few dwellings and my first encounter area when I was 18
I was parked at a pumping oil unit.about 10pm
The roar was right behind me louder than the put put put of the unit..
When it roared at me I left the area...
Thought it was a cougar or bear for years
Your first posts on this thread explained what it was prolly...

Whoops my mistake.... when you said Lafayette county I sssumed it was Walker creek area
You are talking about the Mckamie area
Rolling bottom lands got a cousin lives in there. Have a 100 acres north near 82 from mckamie. We had an 80 acre cut over there we hunted (thick couldn’t back through )
Ran a cougar out of there when dogging it during deer season. We had two Cajuns in the camp.. in 16 ft lean two s
They were white like death when they got back to the trucks. Cougar walked right between them.... they shot at the ground and hightailed out. I liked a 37 pound bobcat that day. Who knows.
Never heard of any Boogers in that area.
Thanks again

Another Arkansas hunter that got to see a Booger. Anyone know him or the mountain he mentioned? (Couldn't understand what he said.)
Tal i think You & N8 may already figured this out but i will offer what i've found. That interview was at some cabins at Bismark, the first mountain he mentioned was Jack Mtn. and the second one with sighting was Needle's Eye Mtn which is north of Bismark. Here link to map i found of Needle's Eye Mtn. in Hot Springs Co., coordinates to mountain are down page from map:

Hi wawa...

Thinker thunker might mean well, but his misses don't serve the believers side one bit.

No disrespect, but he does more harm to the cause... : )) ...than good.

I have no cause in Critter matters...so no harm, no foul.

His conclusions are downright embarassing in most instances. I think he's an agent provocateur.

: )) maybe or truly??? Who knows?

Thinker thunker's analysis of the bison video was uproarious in his absolute ignorance of lens optics... note televised baseball games where even I as a dumdum 3rd grader always noticed in the 55x Canon zoom lens centerfield camera angle that the batter is ALWAYS taller than the pitcher and the umpire is ALWAYS taller than the batter...

Wawa, trust Bill Munns instead.

He's all you need on the PGF.

If you mention thinker thunkhead, you deserve to be brought down low.

I'm very familiar with Bill Munns, and I have great respect for him. I've seen several videos of him speaking at different Bigfoot events and I have his book "When Roger Met Patty". I first saw him in a Monsterquest episode, where he was attempting to determine whether a human head could fit into a fake bigfoot head, in answer to people who said that Patty was a man in a suit. He said at the end something to the effect that in the process of conducting these experiments, he had come to believe that Patty was a real creature. Thinker Thunker's video above does something similar in comparing the proportions of a human and Patty; that part I think is interesting to think about. I'm not holding him up as some sort of expert. I look at all these different analyses and try to decide for myself if they have any merit. By your measure, since I know ZERO about camera lenses, I'm too stupid to do that.
