How in the world do they manage to keep the recoil so calm on that thing?

  11. It has a serious buffer system.

Absolutely no muzzle flash either. I'd like a couple of jugs of that powder.

I noticed that as well, anybody could get a high vantage point with enough vegetation for cover, and be virtually undetected!

Think they were dummy rounds? Just can't see live ammo being that light on recoil and no muzzle flash.

  15. I bet they were live rounds.

I shot the M60 several times (in the Army) it did not have much recoil. Now, it was a bit heavier than this gun. H&K have always had good machine guns that are very well designed.

Normally dummy rounds, on a real machine gun, won't cycle the bolt unless you have the red barrel block screwed on to the flash suppressor.

Exactly, dummy rounds don't have enough back pressure!

You do remember the directive about 8 second bursts from the .50cal and 4 seconds with the m-60s....however difficult to do in a firefight lmao!
