Black Panthers in Arkansas?
According to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commision, there are no black panthers in the state of Arkansas. Well I have seen them with my own two eyes while driving along Highway 7 south between Hot Springs & Bismark. Many years ago I hunted in Dallas County in south Arkansas between Sparkman and Manning. We would be sitting around the campfire at night having a great time talking about the days hunt when all of a sudden a blood curdling scream that would make the hairs on your body stand up and chills go all over your body! My dad even saw one while on his stand just after daybreak! Still the AGFC says they do not exist in Arkansas...I guess they did not learn to read signs that tell them when they cross the state lines!
Some cougars can be a dark chocolate color leading to the mistaken identity of black panthers. As for the blood curdling scream, perhaps it is the Black Panther party's outcry over their savior, Obama being neutered during the latest election.
FIGHT THE POWER
Oh. You mean cats
They have been here since the 60's. At least in LR.
