    Squirrel Season

Why oh why cant spring squirrel season open in the morning? Looks like its going to be too cold and wet to fish, but looks like the perfect weather to chase some bushytails. By the time season opens in a week and a half, it'll be hot again.

Me too. I usually only hunt one weekend and tomorrow would be a great day to be in the woods.

I'm seeing squirrels all over -- there's plenty of soft mast and the livin' is easy if you're a squirrel.

Those are bots -- they infest the skin. The meat is unaffected.

I've only ever got one in the spring and he was fine. Mostly just a way to take my kids out on the woods.
