    COON meat-prices?

    For those of you that live in areas where there is a demand for coon meat, what are you charging?(If you dont mind me asking)

    6 bucks for big,medium and small. Same price for them all. I cant catch or keep enough...d2

    I thought it was illegal to sell wild game meat.

    It's legal to sell raccoons for meat, have to leave a foot attached so folks can see it's not a house cat.

    raccoons are considered furbearers not game animals.

    That's funny. Now that I think of it, I have never seen any raccoons by the chinese dumpster.

    Coon's and their meat is what pays for my trapping. Everything else I catch is gravy...d2

    You are 100% right d2,6 coons at 7.50 apiece fills my corn feeder, 9 fills my gas tank... While coons are not my target animal(s) they certainly do help.I recently got permision to trap a 1000 acre club just because of the amount of COONS on their club! Look at it this way,2-3 nights with 3 dozen 160 bucket sets,..... you do the math.

    how do you cook coon, do you just sell them whole after skinned and gutted?

    I think the really hard hitting question hasn't been asked yet.

    WHO is buying coon meat? I mean, is possum and squirrel meat getting scarce for some folks?
