stopping redirectioning

boy i do not know what is happening last 2 days especially today every time i do a web search i get redirected to some garbage im using mazola firefox if that helps

Sounds like you need to do a spyware and malware scan. I run Firefox and have had no trouble at all.

Have you changed your search engine to ''live search'' instead of google or yahoo or a large named search engine.

Live search can throw you into random things like your mentioning.

i havent changed anything that i know of. i don't know what a live search is.
i will run a scan think i have adware haven't run it in a long time

I try to run an adware and malware scan at least once a week. It usually doens't turn up anything, but every once in a while it will catch something.

Do you have the small search bar in the top right corner of your firefox browser? If yours is the plain setup, youll click just to the left and there should be a dropdown menu. It'll have google, yahoo, lycos, and some other search engines, and ''manage search engines''...

Just switch it from live search to google or whatever you wanna use. Live search automatically takes you to the first page is finds, which is normally not what your wanting at all.

yes i had the multi search thing on the upper right edited it now have google only thanks for that tip. i have spybot search and destroy looked at it close never did download any of the up dates have done that now bet its been 3-4 mo sense last time i scanned it . i keep forgetting about it. it takes a good 1- 1/2 hr to do it
