This is suppost to be a grouse nest that has been taken over by turkeys, in Maine. Here is some commet about the situation.
"I've read that Turkeys will lay eggs in grouse nests and leave the hen grouse to siton the nest and raise the chicks. I have no idea about the validity of the stories I've read or if its based on hard evidence. I've never heard or read of grouse laying eggs in turkey nests."
