I'm in the mood to hunt some "new country" Needs to be fairly flat land with a pretty good population of grey squirrels, some decent deer hunting. WMA or other public lands. I'd like to do some squirrel hunting pryor to the deer season opener......xring

Me too "X"! I used to love squirrel hunting, but since the opener of bowseason was always a few days prior I have not been in a long time. I'm really looking forward to this year with the season opening on the 10th of next month. I am a little concerned about snakes though... :hair:

Last year while squirrel hunting/ pre season scouting I watched a 6 point make a scrape. Thought it was pretty neat. :thumb:

Will be doing some squirrel hunting over at Dagmar WMA this year in preperation to the Muzzeloader Hunt in October. I got a muzzleloader permit this year to hunt and never been over there. So, I will be doing some squirrel hunting and deer scouting this september. :thumb:

SKeeters, in a swamp, NO WAY!!! :smack:
Man what was I thinking... ThermalCELL and Shannon Bug Tamer Clothing. That Thermacell worked great this spring in the turkey woods at keeping the skeeters away without any bug taming camo. Plus, them skeeters can not be any worse then them Florida Swamp Skeeters, Buffola Nates, and no-seems.
