How many of you have tried hunting for squirrels from a canoe? This is a very fun experience and a great time of the year to give it a try. Just watch out for the snakes.

I've never tryed it this time of the year, used to float P.J. in the late season, cold clear days were always great, and your right, a heap of fun!

I've been tempted to shoot 'em from a boat before - but never actually hunted 'em out of a canoe - sounds like fun.

I use to do it when I lived in Florida. However, we would float down the river in the boat early in the morning and hunt squirrel along the river banks, then go fishing when things slowed down.

I used to hunt them a lot from a flat bottom when I lived down in Louisiana. At one point I even had a golden retreiver that I would take with me. I'd shoot them out and he'd go get them...I never had to leave to boat......that was a hoot!!!!

Hey Pat--If you remember, Rattle and I hunted some from my boat on our get-together last fall at Wattensaw. It's a challenge to shoot one with a .22 from a boat! We got out and killed a few and caught a few bass in the river. Rattle couldn't catch a drum though!
