They put the zone doe quota permit numbers up, and I couldn't write all of them, but did get zone 3 number and that is 2812. which I think is down from last year.
Also discussed was publishing the opening season dates a year ahead, so we might possibly know future opening dates, as well. But it won't be set in concrete, till the next year vote. But it may give some idea, being they tend to stay around the same dates anyway they said.
Also mentioned raising the penalities for certain violations like shooting from the road example.
New ATV/vehicle shooting reg summary, was placed up, and looks like it will be voted on next meeting. What they posted didn't go into great detail, about the herding or harressing, so I'm kinda in the dark if that will be included. What they did discuss was shooting from a moving vehicle. You must be stopped before shooting. You can have a loaded weapon, but you can't be moving while shooting.
Hunting license sales where down again. Com. Black ask for a break down of the last three years to see exactly where we are declining in license sale, on age and such.
Talked about the seven devels additional land purchase.
Talked about the next new nature center site and its progress.
Prohibit handguns and muzzleloader shotguns for deer hunting in deer zones 4 and 5, including WMAs located within these two zones.
Reinstituting of the requirement of the completion of a hunter education course prior to making application for the Zone/WMA Doe Quota and WMA deer permit hunts.
