Folks last week, the attorney called and advised us the name Arkansas Deerhunters Association was taken. When he checked previous, the check was not a entire state check. Which we didn't know at the time. When he did a complete check it showed up. We all hate this delay for sure.

On better news. Everyone has signed the paper work, and he has a list of new names we sent him to check on. We are waiting for his return on that.

Folks I don't know if you have dealt with lawyers, but its a slow process. I feel confident we will have things going by end of December. But things could change at any minute.

I want to say thanks to all the members who made trips to Jonesboro and sign the paper work. Thats gas money out of your pocket and most important your time, during a busy hunting season.

One other point of interest, we are accepting charter memberships at this time. We have set a cap on that of a 100 charters. They are $100 and thats a life time membership. This money is to help us get up and running. We would like to be able to be at both shows, Little Rock and Jonesboro, but these shows charge booth space, and with our legal and cpa fees, and cost of stickers, website etc, we will just have to take a wait and see approach. Anyone wanting to help out, it will be tax deductable, once we get our tax ID number, and we will send that to you. Thanks Lee

You able to share what other names we are looking at? Not that the name makes the group but would be interesting to see what you all came up with.

FWH, man thats fine, we need the support where ever we can get it. Thanks for your support for sure.

These guys on here are the most dedicated hunters in the state. This organization is being formed for each and every one of you across the state. We who have initially got this ball rolling, realize it must take members to make it the best deerhunter organization ever in the state. Networking amongst ourselves is going to be vital, to our success.

Folks as I have sat in my tree stand this season, and looked out across the woods, as the sun arose from the skyline, and a hot doe came by, with a heavy beamed 8 pointer trailing her, and then another small buck came lagging behind. Thats the most awesome sight my eyes could ever see. And then as I go back to camp, and retell the days hunt to family and friends, and we set down and eat some grilled tender loins from a buck my farther in-law killed in muzzleloader season. Boys,,, thats what deer hunting is all about. Its a way of life, a life I hope we pass on to future generations to come. And when god calls me home, and I think back, did I make a diffenrence in the things important in my life, And I hope I have done my part, or at least attempted to do my part, in giving back to a sport that I love more than taking away. Happy Hunting Lee
