We who have been talking about ADHA need to follow threw with one step at a time.
WE have established the regions, mission statement, and started on electing officers; but have not yet finished.
I'm a little lost from all this jumping from topic/forum stuff.
Personally I think we need to have a meeting with each and every one dir@asst dir of each region:"we/us" who want to establish the mission and including anyone veiwing this board.
Further more, I fell that we need to post on a meeting agenda.Officers,laws/bylaws,funds/money to get started, dues/memberships,logos/newsletters or other assosiated material for the members. So on and so forth.
I know that everything that I have just stated had been mentioned but no one has made the agenda or has agreed upon a meeting date.
I have vacation that I can take for that day, just let me know a week ahead.

I know there is a meeting in Jonesboro on July 19, and everyone is welsome, it has been posted on other threads, as far as a statewide meeting, I haven't heard a date set yet. I agree everything is still up in the air right now, but hopefully it will all come together and everyone can stay informed and involved.

We've been seriously working on this for what, a week now?

The mission statement and zone maps are done, we've got volunteers in place to represent most of the zones, we've got a basic idea of what we want to accomplish, and there is at least one meeting scheduled.

I have no experience at all with starting a statewide organization from scratch but I think things are coming along pretty good so far.

As far as I know there is no written agenda for a meeting but all the things you mentioned and more will be addressed.

For some of this stuff someone will just have to step forward and say "Ill do it".

Hopefully, the directors of the other regions we discuss the issue's at their meetings. After we finalize our different regions, and get the chapter, set, the directors should set some state meetings, and discuss meeting locations, get the paper work filed for the state assoc. Basically set up the state organization. With help from the different regions. I feel we need to get our regions set first, once we set those up we will then proceed to file our paper work. Get our bank account, get stickers, web site, hats, etc. Then at some point we can solicit memberships.

This first meeting to me is just the beginning of this formation, hopefully we can review By-laws, mission statement, and goals, at these first meetings. And hoefully we can all review them on the BB, before the meetings, to amke any corrections that might need adjusting. Then finalize our opinions at the meetings and take a vote for each region. I personally feel we can vote in our own region officers, so each region can be prepared when the state forms. If regions lack in attendants, they may have to wait. Or we can just go with the tempary directors, until we have enough membership in each region and then set a date to vote our region officers. Also follow what our by-laws say on voting in officers.

We amy want to finalize our by-laws before the meetings. I believe the mission statement has already been wrote, and finalized.
