Mission Statement and Our Purpose

Well here is what I came up with from all the ideas sent to me and looking at other state organizations. So let me know what you think and if anything needs changing, reworded, added, or removed.

We as a unified group of deerhunters will work with and support Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to ensure all legal and ethical methods of deerhunting including seasons and bag limits that result in the maximum enjoyment and opportuntities in a conservative way to maintain a good and healthy deer herd with in the state of Arkansas for all residents of the state to enjoy today and into the future.

Our Pupose

We each will be supportive and respect each deer hunter's method of hunting as long as it is ethical and legal with in the state of Arkansas.

We will strive to ensure and support the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in accordance with their own mission statement in the managing or our state's deer herd.

We will support and encourage every advantage for our upcoming youth to get every opportunity for them to enjoy the sport of deer hunting to ensure the future of deer hunting in the state of Arkansas.

We will be supportive of educational programs for our youth and other hunters to ensure safety and ethical values of hunting.

We as members will each strive to be good and ethical sportsmen/women respecting the deer herd we hunt and environment in which we hunt, that is respectful in the eyes of other sportsmen/women and the non hunting public.

The Arkansas Deer Hunter’s Association is a newly formed organization whose primary purpose is to give the deer hunters of Arkansas a unified voice in the management of our deer herd.

We will work with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as well as lawmakers to ensure that ALL legal methods of deer hunting as well as season lengths and bag limits result in the maximum enjoyment of the resource and creates as much hunting opportunity as sound management practices will allow.

We will be supportive of educational programs for hunters and youths to ensure safety as well as legal and ethical hunting.

We will support and encourage ways to get our youth involved in hunting so that they get every opportunity to enjoy the sport of deer hunting and to help ensure the future of deer hunting in the state of Arkansas.
