What amount would be good and are we having any type of hat,decal/sticker,T-shirt or such?i've asked Pat. Anyone else have ideas. Is anyone in good enough standings with natrual gear to get some shirts or some one/other camo company?
I think F B would let us use the logo at the top of the page .Decals I checked on having a few made up for the gathering and the guy said 6.50 fo a four inch one and the more the less exspencive it would be maybe sell them to those who would support us but don't want to be a member? Same with hats and such .'

Maybe thats too far ahead but it is a thought.

I agree with the idea. FB was saying we needed a new logo for the ADHA. There is a couple here in NE Ark who have their own shop for shirts and hats and they are reasonable on their prices. I think membership dues should start inexpensive, maybe $10. As has been said before, we need to build up membership and don't need to keep people away with high membership fees.

We used the t-shirt and cap place beside Mr. Trophy in Jonesboro for our bass club caps and they had some good summer caps with the mesh back. I don't remember what we paid for them.

I think dues need to be low also.

$10 or $15 at the most to get more people involved.

As far as incorporating or any of the other legal stuff we dont really have to do that immediately do we?

Anybody got a brother in law or a friend thats a lawyer who could maybe help us out or do it pro bono in exhange for some advertising or something?

If we can put that off for a little while, the only real money we'd need right off the bat would be for booth rental.

I think hats, shirts, decals, etc. are a good idea especially if we get a booth at a show. We could sell them for a couple of bucks extra and try to make a few bucks that way.

But its gonna take a few hundred bucks to buy em.

And what kind of laws are involved in raffling guns?

Assuming we get a booth somewhere what if we bought a deer rifle or two and raffled em off at the end of the show?

Have low dues, but also have fundraisers...cookouts drawings, etc. Kinda like Ducks Unlimited but on a smaller scale.

The only law that comes with raffelinf guns off is the winner must pick it up from a licensed dealer, or have a represenative there to fill out paperwork.

For instance: If you raffeled off an 870 Remington shotgun lets say. A person would go to Ft. Thompson lets say and pay for the gun. Sell the raffle tickets. Have the winner go to Ft. Thompson pick up their gun and fill out the paperwork themselves. That way you are not responsible for the yellow sheet.

I for one do not like putting a gun in my name and then giving it to someone else. Sometimes at DU banquets in college we used to have the sporting goods stores donate guns and send yellow sheets witht he guns. That way the winner could fill out the sheet and leave with the gun and we were responsible for turning in the yellow sheet to the dealer, but now with having to call in long guns as well I just don't know about that. I do know the first way is possible.

There are laws governing these sorts of things for certain dollar amounts. Kenn would be more up to date than myself. He has done the four wheeler before and I know there is some law that governs lottery drawings in Arkansas

I won one at the England DU banquet and they had the paperwork there but it was several years ago so I dont know if thats still legal or not.

Ill bet someone at Ft. Thompson or Macks could tell us the legal way to do it.

My girls softball team raffled off a Knight ML a few years back, and there was no paperwork involved. Is that true today? Maybe a nice Knight would be simpler. We did quite well on it, too. One dollar per ticket, 6 for five bucks.

Raffling a muzzleloader is a good idea.

The way I understand it they arent restricted like a regular gun is.

Except the T/C Encore line. I had to fill out the papers on my Encore 209x50 magnum.
