Arkansas Deer Hunters Association it is our mission to support the maximum benifit for both our statewide deer herd and deer hunters as a unitified group.
We will do this by supporting seasons, baglimits, and methods of deerhunting that result in the maximum enjoyment and oppuritunities in a conservertive way to maintain a good and healthy deer herd within the state of Arkansas for years to come.
We will strive to insure this great hunting tradition that we as members greatly cherish is pass down through generations into the future by doing our best to seek every oppuritunity for our youth to be able to enjoy this great sport we call deer hunting.

This is something I threw together to give some idea but in the same extent trying to be unbais. Please feel free to add something or make changes.

Come on guys reply what you think or think the mission statement of this ADHA should be. I think this is were we should start. If we can get a mission statement and purpose established it might make it easier to recruit members once they see what we stand for.

One other thing as a group of deerhunters we need to stop considering deerhunters as poachers. What I mean is if something comes up making comments like will some will be using kids to tags does and small bucks for them and such. The key to remember is the idea might increase oppuritunity for several law biding deer hunters which out weighs those who aren't, the ones that bypass the regulations are going to do so no matter what the rules are.

CDay,
You may want to include something concerning supporting the AGFC as they follow sound management ideas. I know they can and have disappointed us in many ways but we need their support like they need ours. If we take the 'us against them' attitude we have already lost our ability to present our views to them in a professional manner. Even though most of us do not have a problem being called a redneck we would do well to leave that persona at home. I am not saying we shouldn't stand firm in our convictions but to enter their arena we must be able to do so on even ground when we show up and do so as allies not enemies.

Tony

I think you hit the nail on the head. Great post. Allies instead of enemies says it all. We have to stand up for what we believe in but at the same time make sure that we do it in the correct way.

Very good Tony and yes you are correct that we need to be supportive of them. I will think on how to incorpate this into. See I knew we could come up with some more good ideas how to make this better. Thank you Tony and Dspeakes your help is very appreciated.
