Kenn, kicked this idea around a few months back, I like the idea, and was just wondering what happened, I know this would take some time and hard work, but if a few got their heads together, and presented a good plan, I'm sure Ark deer hunters would jump on board. I would love to see a organization, that helped support the common deer hunter, be a voice for all deer hunters. Also support and coordinate a youth and disable deer hunt. Have a active lobbying committee at all Commission meetings that are dealing with deer hunting issues. Hold a state annual convention, with seminar's from food plot preperation, to three point rules. NO DOG HUNTING ISSUES! LOL
But seriously we need this, deer hunting or deer management is becoming a very good pastime or hobby, its turned into a year round sport. There are numerous companies out there who would pay for booth space to advertise their products and pay for such a convention. Of course open it to the public, recruit new members in the process. Bring our issues and message to all who will listen. Have Cpeu set up all his seed stuff, Kenn with his deer heads, Ingles giving a seminar on big buck hunting,LOL on that. But wait who knows, I bet he would draw a crowd. Seriously lets get something going. With the new year approaching, we could get the idea out at the two expo's coming up in Jan, Little rock And Jonesboro.

I asked about this a month or so ago and got almost zero replies. I think the interest is there but most are out in the woods and can't really elaborate on the subject. Hopefully, they are kicking around some ideas while ont he stand.

I am in support of this as long as it's not a "whistle blower" and "finger pointing" org. We can get more accomplished with sensible discussions backed by facts and concerns that display a willingness of working with the commish rather than agianst it.

I agree totally, I would only support a orgnization that supported game management back by biological data. Not what Joe wanted down at the lease. I believe right now our biggest issue is the three point rule. It would be nice to have a lobby for that issue. Back by data, and the members. I understand thats one leg of that issue, but if we don't take it further or the next step then we need to go back to any buck
Or maybe the limiting gun days might balance it out, I don't know.
I realize the guys on this BB, probably take these issues more to heart than the average hunter, but that is all the reason to get this ball rolling and educate the hunters that don't realize our situation, out in public venues/expo's. If anything, get a booth at those two expo's and pass out some info.
