I finally got the chance to get and go fishing in the boat. I hit a chute I know on the refuge side. I was fishing with minnows on a slip bobber rig fishing the tree trunks for crappie. I caught a 7lb and a 3lb largemouth bass. My son was highly impressed with the 7lb bass and had never held a bass that big. He had a fit when I released it and the other back. I don't eat largemouth bass and like I told him what is the point of keeping it if we ain't going to eat it. It was alot of fun catching him on a #5 flyrod 6lb test line. We ending up with one black crappie and one good size bream.
