Anyone fish Erling?

Going after some bass in the morning........or anything else that will care to bite.

I live on the banks of Erling, or Bodcau as I and a few others still call it. I do not bass fish anymore but gave them a fit for the first 30 years the lake existed. Found it to compare favorably with other lakes for almost all fishing. It is for sure a better fishing hole than it was farm land. That open water around what is now "Bass Haven" was my Daddy's cotton and corn fields. Farming was a poor living in those days and I liked fishing a lot better than hoeing. The land looks better to me under water than it did dry! smile.gif

We had a pretty sorry day......the wind was blowing most of the day and the bass wasn't biting....

We only boated one and hung another that got off.......
