What do You Use?

Sorry guys I could not put this in poll form. But what bait do most of you use to catch crappies jigs, minnows, or something else.

I personally prefer minnows rigged on a slip float. I have used jigs but have found that the little spinnerbaits like 1/16 ounce work real good.

I use minnows. I just have more confidence in them. Been using them all my life.

I normally use jigs, but sometimes I use minnows--depends on the mood of the fish. I also use jig and minnow combination. If the crappie gets the minnow and you lose him, quickly drop the jig right back in--don't waste time dipping another minnow out of the bucket. I've caught lots that way. It seems I always catch more big slab crappie on minnows then jigs.

Fullcredit I have tried that several times. I have found that this works well when they won't hit a minnow or a jig by itself.

As far as colors I have had my best luck the last couple years with blue and white.
