What is the largest fish you have ever caught in Arkansas? I have caught a 23 pound striper and a 21 pound catfish. But the largest fish I have caught is 2 over 23 pounds. No kidding, the elusive DRUM. Caught one on a shad rap and another on a wee R.

i think my buddy caught one that was about 15 pounds.
My largest fish would be an alligator gar, did not weigh him but he was to big to bring into my 12 foot boat. My biggest fish actually landed would be a northern pike caught off the Yukon river in Alaska. It was 47" long.

24 pound flathead at Lake Conway. They tell me that was a small one for that lake.
This is my biggest Lake Conway crappie, before they drained the lake.

Like them spear nose fan backed crappie but my favorite be these big ole flathead crappie cause they're wider and fatter and easier to hit with my trusty trouble free cross bow. graemlins/thumb.gif

MY largest bass was 6.5 pounds from Tyronza River on a spinner bellow a spillway from a rice field. My largest cat was a 23 pound channel from the floodway ponds between Payneway and MT off Hwy. 63. Largest of them all...a 5 foot alligator gar caught off a cut shad below the dam at Payneway where the spill way splits. I didn't weigh him at the time but it took nearly 40 mins to land him with my surf rod.
Most exotic? an octopus in FL anf a duck in Midway!

The biggest fish I've gotten was a White Amur that weighed just over 50 pounds. The bait . . . none! I shot with an arrow while bowfishing on the Arkansas River over 10 years ago. Man, I miss that bowfishin' - been too busy to do it.

When the MS river would flood and recede back behind Wilson, I would go back there with my recurve and zebco 888 and the shoot gar, carp and whatever else was stuck in the bean fields...I shot a grinnel (approx 5 #'s), it ruined my bow tip and almost ripped the bow out of my hands.

CP, that is a pretty fair bass. I never saw one from these parts that big. Did you fry or bake her and was it good? :D I heard they were pretty good stuffed when they went over 10#. graemlins/thumb.gif Please don't tell me you threw it back.
"Please don't tell me you threw it back."
Sorry BB....but I did. May be a state record soon.
One of my cohorts put a 13 pound plus in the boat at Bodcaw two springs ago...I had a 10 3/4 from Columbia and he won the prize (bass boat, motor, and trailer). Oh well ! :D

Thats an awesome looking bass CP. He would have been on my wall though. :D
Hey Deerhunter, I release all the biguns but you can have an exact "replica" made to put on the wall.
Kinda like have-your-cake-and eat-it thing.
Replicas don't fry up very good though... :D
