I use to but not ever again.....they went up to $50 for a non-resident licence. Talk about robbing someone!
Mostly all I did was bowfish over there and it just ain't worth it....
Too much better water over here to fish in.
This year when you a Texas fishing licence...you also have to buy a fresh water tag....wonder what you are supposed to do with just a fishing licence?
Those people have lost it!

My brother's in-laws have a 35 acre "tank" as they say in Texas. The lake was stocked with Florida bass 3 1/2 years ago and the thing is now loaded with 6 pounders. I'm going to try to hit it in a month.
As far as public waters go, haven't been. I'd like to go to Amistad and Rayburn.

I can see Texas losing alot of money due to non-resident not buying a licence this year...I hope that's what happens.
But AR uped our non-resident to match Texas, and we will have some lost revenue due to this....not a smart move on our part I don't think.

I don't believe raising liscense fees for OOSs will thin out the Texans from Millwood, Greeson, Ouachita or Albert Pike. They will still come.

If they love the lakes and have been coming to them for years....yeah will still come.
But I know of several people that have told me they aren't renewing their licence......

Fishing licences are not the only thing that has gone crazy here in Texas. We now have to purchase a non-game stamp. To get caught shooting a skunk that has been getting in the hen house without a non-game stamp is bad news to the pocketbook. I have to buy a non-game stamp to hunt snakes now.
