Okay,

I have been fishing lakes, farm ponds and what ever else I can get a line wet. But I have not fished the Arkansas River. Every day when I cross the I-30 river bridge I glance at the moving water and think about a day on the river.

So, my question is what techniques work on the river for bass. Would I use a similar pattern to lakes in the area? or is it a different world?

My fishing buddy just got a new boat big enough to feel comfortable on the moving water so we are getting ready.

Any tips, techniques, or patterens to try would greatly be appreciated. A slow day on the water is better than any day in the office, but a good day on the water can compete with a day in the woods in early November.

Thanks,
Bob

Bob

I used to fish the river when I lived in Jacksonville. In the summertime, buzzbaits and worms worked really well. We used to catch some very nice bass. I have fished the areas around Little Rock and Toad Suck.
