We had the post a while back about what kind of truck we all drive, thought it would be cool to see what kind of rigs we all have. Myself am running a '92 Ranger with 200hp Yamahachi. Aint the newest thing on the pond but gets the job done.

I got a sweet little 12' flat bottom w/a 12 volt 32# thrust electric paddle, complete w/charcoal green custom (spray) paint & about 14 leaky rivets.

Do I have any takers on this fine piece of equipment?

I have a 15.5 Travler with a 35 hp motor. I like to fish Harris Brake and Conway and this makes it easier. Also fish the river and Maumelle some. I don't waste my time with Winona, 5 miles of dirt road and when you get there if you leave your truck and trailer without protection it may not be in one piece when you get back. I live less than 11 miles from the ramp but it ain't worth the effort when the "Brake" is right down the road.

Tony,

Have you been catchin' any of those crappie on the "brake"? Thats all I've heard about for the past two months from everybody around here. I live about 3 miles north of the lake. Also do you ever wade any of the creeks around winona?

Don't know if mine classifies as a rig. 14ft Alumaweld boat and old Mercury 9.8 motor. I also have a leaky 10 foot boat for fishing out of the way places.

O you bet that qualifies as a rig Dspeaks. I have an ole '68 6hp Evinrude, that I would not trade for anything. Grandpa bought it new with 14 foot aluminum lowe, and gave me both b4 his passing. Don't use the boat much but the motor is a first pull start (seriouly graemlins/thumb.gif ))when we go trout fishing at Cotter a couple times a year.

Been too busy in the woods to fish besides that during deer season my boat becomes the catchall for my bow and other hunting stuff.

I have done a little wading. One of the guys in this area says wait until it rains good and get some worms and fish below the riffles/shallows and bridges. He says you can catch smallies up to 3 lb.s. You can put a boat in on the Alum Fork off Hwy 9 and float to Steel Bridge and catch some smallies, blacks, catfish, whatever.

I do plan on cleaning my boat out one night this weekend and being ready to hit the water in a couple weeks.

War Eagle 542 with a 25 Merc for me. It's good enough for anything from the sloughs to the mighty MR Sippee! I like to put in at Battle Axe Landing between Marianna and Hughes and go across and down the Mississippi to Tunica Lake. A 15 minute boat ride is a lot faster than a 45 minute drive.

Which one?

I have a 20 foot jon boat with a 40 hp Envirude which I am currently redoing. A 12 foot semi V with a 9.8 Mercury which I have used for years. A 12 foot 24 inch wide jon boat, and a 10 foot plastic boat. I will tell you this the 12 jon and 10 foot plastic boat I catch more fish with these, especially in hard to get places.
