I was just wondering if anyone here fishes in creeks. I go up around Mountain Veiw and fish in a creek called Sylamore and i was just wonder what a good artificial bait would be to catch some good small mouth??

that's my weekend stomping grounds up there try a blue/silver spoon or green /white works good to. Are you going in off the river or on up private property?

Not many creeks in NW Arkansas that I'm not familiar with. During the spring and summers while at UofA, I often spent two or more days a week wading all those smallmouth streams. There are a lot or streams that many people ignore.
Best bait I ever found was a tiny or baby brushhog rigged Texas style with a 1/16 or 1/8 ounce worm weight. Fairly easy to catch a half dozen smallies, spots, largemouths, rock bass and bream in a couple hours time.

white and gray rooster tail!
I have always had my best luck with a size 0 or size 1 chome Blue Fox grizzly inline spinner. But if you want a large smallmouth there is nothing like a good live soft crawdad.

Earnhardt fan #1 i;m staying at the Holiday Mountatin Resort up there if you know where it is and i fish close to where the white river runs in. And i always catch some pretty good smallmouth on a pumpkin seed colored grub with a jig head in it . But those live crawdads work the best i think.

If you boys git a little farther no. & a little farther west try the Kings,War Eagle,Mulberry,or the Bufflo rivers . Don't die without flooting the Bufflo river. If it got any better than that God would have kept it for him self; I like a 4in pumpkin seed worm.
