This may be silly, but I wondered if any of yall ever used a mono leader, maybe 4 to 6 inch, on your yo-yo for crappie fishing. It seems as they sometimes seem kinda finicky. Any thoughts or just wasted effort.

It might just work. I've never tried it but I do know you will catch more crappie if you just put you minner about 4 to 6 inches deep. graemlins/thumb.gif

I have never yo yo before. But I do put a smaller pound test leader on my slip bober sets. I use 8 to 10 lb. test line with a slip not, bead, slip bobber, 1/4 ounce egg sinker, #12 brass swivel and attach 6 inch leader of 6 lb. test line with a #6 brass aberdeen hook. This also keeps from loosing some many bobbers when you get snagged.
