He maybe, but it'll take a few years for him to show it, I can't think of any College Stars that went right into the Pros and Made Instant MVP's (Quarterbacks), including his brother Peyton, although Peyton is coming around now. Do you remember how highly touted John Elway was in college and struggled bad his first few years in the pros, But ended up making one of the great Quarterbacks.

i think sometimes they're just giving him a shot because of his brother. but he could make a good one. like you said he has to prove it.

A lot of it depends on what situation you walk in to,If the talent is around you it sure makes it easier to succeed, that also goes along with the coaching you have as well.

I do think he has all the potential to be good but only time will tell.

QB in the NFL is only as good as his O-line.

You could take the best QB in history and put him behind Cinncinnati's OL and he would look worse than Sorohan for Ark. Did. Same goes for running backs, When Emmitt smith was in his HeyDay, he had the best OL in the game. The stupidest thing Jerry Jones ever done was trade The Center(Can't remember his Name, that's how much credit they get) was traded in the deal for the most Overated and OVerPaid football player in NFL history, Alligator arms, no tackling, I a'int getting Hurt Deion SAnders!!!In My Humble Opinion!!!!

Eli should have been made to play for the team that drafted him, instead he throw a childish fit and they gave in.

I would have told him that he'd play for my team on sit on his ass and watch everyone play!

I'd would've like to seen Barry Sanders behind an O-line like Emmitt Smith had to run behind.

Yeah ole Barry made his own holes to run through or he just juked folks out of their drawers and ran right around them.

Not only would he own the career rushing record, but it would be untouchable.

Personally, I am sick of the over exposure of the entire Manning family. There are 11 members allowed on the field at a time. Everytime that Eli would make a completion, the cameras would pan to his dad Archie. I got very sick of seeing this. He will learn very soon that it takes a whole team to get anywhere. The step up from college to the pros is a very large one. He is fixing to be welcomed to the real world.

I watched pieces of the game (Actually found the Olympics to be more entertaining). Eli had a few good series. He looked pretty good, actually. NY's O-line was crap or the Panther defense was superb. If it was the O-line, there will be very chances for pocket passing in their games.

Most impressive QB for NY? Kurt Warner...I would put him against the best. Kurt showed a lot of mobility in his series ( he had to...O-line stunk).

He will be a good mentor for Eli. Personally, I think Kurt has a few more years left.

Kurt don't have many good years left but he can teach Eli alot. I think Kurt would be alot better off if his old lady kept her nose out of his business. But then again..........wouldn't we all? graemlins/smack.gif
