I went fishing at a lake west of Hollis Sunday and the creeks look to be ok. You might have to drag some depending on the amount of rain. I floated South Fourche once lots of large rocks to drag over. I did catch a good number of fish though. I never cared much for them long boats I use a flat bottom. To answer your question with this rain the next two days might be good. It does not take long for the water to drain in that part of the country.

Thanks for the reply "Y hunt". You must have been fishing on Dry Fork Sunday.I have fished the one at Rocky Crossing and the one at Little Bear, but never Dry Fork. There is also another one now on Ceader creek, just a few years old. When I float S Fourche, theres never any rocks to drag over, because I'm there for the whitewater excitment at higher levels. Trace and Bear are only floatable a few hours after heavy rain and you cant alway depend on the hollis guage, because it updates only about every 4-6 hours, thats why a visual from someone in the area or a passer by is very helpful. As for the fishing, theres plenty of time for that after the water goes down.Ther are a few good holes on S Fourche that I hike down to, where the fish get concentrated at low levels. The only bad part about that is the Heat, ticks, snakes, poison ivy, meth labs, moonshiners, and so on that you sometimes encounter.
