It aint that great for us either.

We're up to 21 as of today but we havent had what Id consider a really good day all season.

It just aint like it used to be for some reason.

Back durring bow season and up through the ML hunt, we were seeing probably a dozen rabbits going in to our hunting area. But by the time ML season rolled around, the coyote and hawk presence became more obvious. Now, we MIGHT see one rabbit in the AM on the way in. Further - last year, the landowner allowed a fellow to rabbit hunt the stretch we usually see rabbits in, so we knew why they got thinned out last year. But he hasn't hunted it this year.... but the hawks and coyotes are THICK. And the coyote scat all is full of hair...(or would that be hare...hehehehe).

I would have to agree. I think that the predators are eating them up.

i got on my stand saturday evening and glanced down and saw a furry spot. when i got down to go in, i went and looked and it was a dead rabbit. It had not been shot, or touched by anything. looks like it just fell over dead right there on that spot. kinda weird

Im glad to hear it. :thumb:

Youre welcome to go with me anytime that Im going.

I go by myself sometimes cause I worry more about letting the dogs run than I do killin' a bunch of rabbits.

I seldom have more than 2 or 3 others with me and theres almost always room for one or two more.

I dont even have a guess about the dead rabbit. Maybe disease of some kind?

Ive been blaming the shortage on predators but who knows.

They all left AR and came to LA. I've got more rabbits this year than I ever have.
