Yesterday I talked to David Goad, Deputy Director, and he said "The regulation allowing dogs during the spring squirrel season still stands and they have no intention on changing it"

Thanks, for the information.
Problem there is, my friend David Goad doesn't get to vote.
You may want to go read the Ask the Commissioners forum and read what Commissioner Freeze has to say about it!

I talked to Mike Freeze this morning, we had a very cordigal conversation, I haven't been keeping up with all the post, however, he did tell me that he does not agree with all the reports coming from the Biologist in NW Ar, in fact, he said he has hunted with squirrel dogs and doesn't see a problem. The major problem as the G&FC is concerned has to do with Tresspass, that is, people and dogs tresspassing on private property, in some zones this is a real problem.
There have been some inquiries about the Arkansas Squirrel Hunters Association, we have been organized for about 11 years, we put on field trials and buddy hunts where we get together and camp out for a few days and hunt. Our goal is fellowship, to promote squirrel hunting and preserve our heritage.....something to pass on to the next generation, we welcome everyone to join, dues are $15 per year and you can contact Bruce Blihovde @ 479 229 5124.
