Anyone have any odd colored squirrels or have you seen any? I have one that is in my yard that is black on the bottom and left side and has a red tail and the rest of him is red. I saw a gray during deer season that had pure white ears on both sides down to the skull and it was like you drew a line for the gray to start. It had a snow white tail also not a stitch of gray in it. Post pics if you have them. Black ones are pretty common on our deer lease.

I have seen several blacks up in the hills. Used to be a spot near Bono where you would see several almost all white ones. Guess that was the dominant gene there. Real common to see them in that one spot, but I have never seen them anywhere else.

I don't know how many people have ever hunted in the Carolina's but you should see the size of the Fox Squirrels there. They even go through color phases. Those things during deer season will be black with a white blaze around their nose, white tips on their ears and are the size of house-cats. BIG jokers. I've never seen anything like it in Arkansas. I've killed several that had to have been near 3 pounds. Just never got over their size. Wished I had pictures of those things to post.
