Been twice and got my limit both times......didn't take long either. :D

There seems to be a good number of squirrels over there this year.

Bottoms have found them to be small same as in the hills but hills have a little more meat, all have been tough but still eating on pine cones too. That will change after they start eating on acorns and other mast

How does one cook squirrel in a turkey fryer..whole, and what do you meal them in? Heard they are good this way. How do you keep them tender?

But just remember in the land of the blind, a one eyed man is considered a Wizard!!! </font>[/QUOTE]FWH just ask the boys on the squirrel hunt. All you do is cook them just like fish. I usually cut them up, soak them in milk for a few minutes, I use a couple plastic sacks with my flour, salt, and pepper in it, throw the squirrel in it, shake it up good, put the squirrels in the basket, with the grease at about 250 degrees put the squirrels in it for about 7 minutes or till floating like fish. They will be tender, more-so than cooked in a skillet. Just ask them. They all will testify they are good, I have done it for years.

I take it back. graemlins/smack.gif
Sounds like xring really knows the skills of frying up them tree rats. I vote xring as camp biotch instead of dodgeman for the next squrl hunt, specially if he brings the beer. We will still let dodgeman do the dishes though.

I am all for that I buy high quality paper plates. You know all my squirrels were tender except for the old ones Steven killed. I let those old ones go, I don't know why yall didn't? graemlins/smack.gif

Forget the paper plates. You look real experienced at this task.

I was washing squirrels preparing them for cooking, you would have thought the guy walking on a cane would not have to kill, clean, wash, and cook the squirrels. Pittyful  They can ask Chris he will tell the truth even if you won't. graemlins/smack.gif

It was the experiance he had. He did do alot of the cleaning and cooking. And a might good job of it also. graemlins/thumb.gif

Plus he had to show everyone how it was done. So it was fair I think. ;)

He also told everyone he would make someone a good wife if he wasn't so masculine. :D
