Sept.4th. Squirrel season opener,U B there?

How many of us will be in the squirrel woods saturday morning?

Will it be shotguns or rifles?

If the woods are just full of squirrels
will you stop at 8???

I will definately be in the Ozarks Saturday morning. Leaving Friday after work. I will be using a shotgun, haven't decided on the 12 guage or the 20 guage yet. I will stop at 8 no matter how many there are in the woods. Then I will have some for Sunday morning. By the way xring, I only take 8 shells with me.

I have been known to carry afew extra rounds with me in case my old .22 don't put em where I look!!!Its almost like a kid a christmas around my house,,,gather up this and that,,,what to wear,,,etc. The tension mounts!!!
I too will stop at eight,,,maybe less, don't want many,,,don't like to freeze them, and no one else here that cares for squirrel..

I know what you mean about a kid at Christmas. I am so ready to get back in the woods with a gun. I have a lot to do tonight. I had to work til 11 last night so I haven't gotten anything ready for the hunt yet. Guess when I get home tonight I will decide which gun to take and try to get everything loaded so I can leave after work tomorrow. I plan on doing a lot more deer scouting than actual squirrel hunting. I still have some stands up there that need work and some shooting lanes to clear.

I will be dove hunting Saturday and Monday morning close to Cash, AR. I will probably try to squirrel hunt Monday afternoon around Paragould. I will use a 12 guage because it is rabbit season too.

good luck, i'll be dove hunting. im taking my 8 year old boy then taking him squirle hunting later. i hope he can hit the dove like he hits skeet with his 410.

I am going to be in the woods at the break of day. First chance to be in the woods with a gun, who are you kidding. Oh yeah i will have my scatter gun with me and i will stop at eight. it is the law after all, and it will hopefully leave some for sunday morning.

As a matter of fact there Longspurs, I am taking a man on his first hunt in the morning, He hasn't had the oppertunity to hunt in the past,
and I being the person that I am invited him to go experance the hunt. I think he agreed,,I have some problem understanding him,,,really nice young man,,,hes a black muslim activist, and has his own AK-47, By the way, where do you hunt?? Yall enjoy squirrel opener, my gut is churnin thinking about squirrel huntin and I am not even going. Cant wait to hear how the hunts went.

Actually have a lot of work to do. Got a potential customer that if we lose I might have a lot of huntin time this year. graemlins/smack.gif So its off to work I go this weekend and hope to get this release gets out so I can go to wattensaw in 2 weeks and start huntin oct. 1st.

Lost my new buddy in the squirrel woods,,,well, it don't matter. I couldn't understand him anyway. I only killed three squirrels this morning,,,only shot 4 times,,,Not many squirrels in the area I hunted,,,the ones I killed were cutting white oak acorns,,,no hickery nuts!!
